We studied 4 years for a degree. We paid lakhs in fees. We graduated with 100% literacy in the most educated state in India. And we're still getting paid peanuts while doing the same work as someone in Europe earning 10× more. Enough.
We're not lazy. We're not unqualified. The system is broken — and nobody in power wants to fix it because it's profitable to keep engineers cheap.
A developer in Germany earns €5,000/month. The same developer in Kerala, doing the same remote work for the same company, earns ₹25,000. That's not market rate — that's exploitation with a Wi-Fi connection.
You spent 4 years and ₹3–8 lakhs on a BTech. Your syllabus was last updated when C++ was cutting-edge. You graduate. You can't get a job without a 6-month course that teaches what your college should have.
Every entry-level job wants 2 years experience. You have 0 years experience because no one will hire you without experience. This is a Kafkaesque comedy and we are the punchline.
We still ask students to memorise the capital of France in 2025. Every job is digital. Every answer is searchable. But we fail students for not byhearting things that take 3 seconds to Google. This isn't education — it's performance.
Germany, Europe, Middle East, Canada — our best minds leave not because they hate Kerala, but because Kerala's economy doesn't value them. We're exporting talent and importing regret.
No weekends. No boundaries. "We're a family here" means we work you like relatives who don't pay back. IT parks with no green space, no transport, no mental health support. Work-life balance is a LinkedIn post, not a reality.
We don't want revolution. We want what's fair. These are not radical demands — they are the minimum a literate, educated, hardworking young person deserves in 2026.
— THOZHIL JANTA PARTY, KERALA
When a company outsources to Kerala and its employees do identical work as their colleagues in Europe or the US — they must be paid within a reasonable range of global rates. Outsourcing should not mean wage arbitrage at the cost of Kerala's youth. We demand transparent pay bands and international salary disclosure for remote roles.
University syllabi must be co-designed and reviewed annually by a panel of industry professionals, not just retired academics. Engineering, Commerce, Science, Healthcare — every professional course must align with what employers actually need TODAY. No student should graduate and immediately need a 6-month skill course to be employable.
Entry-level means entry-level. Hiring companies must stop demanding 1–2 years of experience for roles explicitly listed as fresher positions. A mandatory regulation: any job advertised as "junior," "fresher," or "entry-level" cannot require prior full-time experience. Violation = fine. Simple.
Exams must test how to USE knowledge, not how much you can memorise. In the age of AI, search engines, and documentation, the skill is in applying — not reciting. Implement project-based evaluation, open-book assessments, and problem-solving formats. End supply/arrear systems that punish one bad day over four years.
Saturday and Sunday are not "flexible work from home" days. They are rest days. Kerala youth must have legally protected 5-day work weeks, minimum 18 days of paid leave per year, and mental health leave — without HR guilt-tripping. Rest is not a privilege. It is a right.
A 3–6 month certified course in Digital Marketing, Logistics, HR, Data Analytics, or CAD is real training. Employers who dismiss these qualifications while demanding years of "experience" must be challenged. Government-certified short courses must hold formal status equivalent to entry-level job readiness.
Kerala's youth should not HAVE to leave for the Middle East, Germany or Europe. When someone migrates, it must be by choice — for adventure, growth, opportunity — not because the only way to afford rent is to leave. We demand economic conditions where staying is a dignified option.
These are approximate monthly salaries for the same job roles — done remotely or in-country. The work is identical. The output is identical. The paycheck is not.

We didn't top our class to be told 'no freshers'.
We are Kerala.
We deserve better."
